Imogene Rosena Strother, 68, of New Haven, MO, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her husband and 4 children.
Imogene was born in Hermann, Missouri on March 16, 1956, the daughter of the late Oliver Winston & Dorothy (Young) Hackmann.
She was the wife of Thomas Strother. They were united in marriage on September 4, 2004, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Imogene worked as a seamstress for the United States Air Force Academy for 13 years. She also worked for Henniges Automotive in New Haven as a tech.
Imogene is survived by her husband Thomas Strother, of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Damian Summers & wife Sherry, of Kirbyville, Texas; a daughter, Dana Herman & husband David, of Lodi, California; a son, Danny Summers, of Fountain, Colorado; a son, Derek Stakley & wife Amanda, of Littletown, Colorado; a sister, Diane Baur, of Hermann, Missouri; a brother, Rick Hackmann, of Hermann, Missouri; by 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Carey.
Imogene enjoyed bowling, gardening, cooking, going Antique shopping and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 15th from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where a memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be given to Dementia/ Alzheimer's Association.
