Hugo Ernst Frank Nething

Hugo Ernst Frank Nething, 98, of New Haven, MO, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at New Haven Care Center.

Hugo was born in New Haven, Missouri on February 14, 1926, the son of the late Martin & Emma (Scheer) Nething.

He was the widower of Sophie (Frey) Nething.  

Hugo was a devoted member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson. He was a farmer his whole life and enjoyed working on the farm. 

Hugo is survived by a step son, Tim Wood & wife Marge, of Owensville, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Jim Frey & wife Karen, of Owensville, Missouri; nieces, nephews, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters, Ella Nething and Thekla Pohlmann.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, with Rev. James Wilshusen officiating. 

Burial will be at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the cemetery.
