Homer Paul Rogers, 79, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Homer was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 12, 1939, a son of the late Homer & Mabel Louise(Jefferies) Rogers.
He was the beloved husband of Phyllis Anne (Howard) Rogers, dear father of John Paul Rogers, brother of Shirley Rogers, grandfather of Calvin Rogers, Uncle to Cindi Santen, Rob (Huong) Pirrie, Kristi (Greg) Roach, Randy Hogenkamp, David (Brenda) Hogenkamp, Tim (Ruth) Hogenkamp. He was a brother-in-law, great uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
His son, Johnny and him enjoyed hunting, fishing, Mizzou sports, STL Cardinals, and Blues Hockey together. His grandson, Calvin chose hockey goaltending as his sport and PaPa (as Calvin called him) loved watching Cal play. Some of their best memories are of hockey trips they took together.
He had many rich friendships with friends from grade school, high school, college, Moehlenpah Engineering, and of course, his hunting and fishing buddies.
Paul owned and operated two companies, Hydro Power Industrial Products for 12 years and Rogers Realty for 28 years. He was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church for many years.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri, where memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rudy Schaser officiating.
Burial will be at Loutre Island Cemetery, off of Hwy 94 West, McKittrick, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Humane Society of Missouri, American Cancer Society, or Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
