Grace V. (Oberg) Fehlings

Grace V. Fehlings, 97, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at StoneBridge Senior Living,  Hermann, Missouri.
 
Grace was born in Stony Hill, Missouri on December 2, 1925, the daughter of the late Eugene & Clara (Proett) Oberg.
 
She was the widow of Alvin "Junior W. Fehlings.  They were united in marriage on June 28, 1947, in  Hermann, Missouri.  Alvin preceded her in death on April 8, 2020.
 
Grace lived a full life of wife, Mother and the best grandma around. She treasured her grandsons and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as Grandma.  Grace worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory until her daughter Lavonne was born, then was a homemaker.  Grace loved working outside in her garden and planting her flowers. Her flowers outside and around her house where absolutely beautiful and she always loved getting compliments from everyone on them.  She was the best cook and loved to bake.  She was a member of St. George Church, Hermann and the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary.
 
Grace is survived by her daughter, Lavonne Marino & husband Joe, of Huntley, Illinois; and two grandsons, Anthony and Nicholas.
 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Harold Oberg.
 
Visitation will be held Friday, July 21st from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann.  A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Church, Starkenburg, Missouri,  with Father Philip Niekamp officiating.
 
Burial will be at St. Martin's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Hermann V.F.W. Post 4182 or St. George Church.
