Glenn Pehle Obituary

Glenn Henry Pehle, 90, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at his daughter's home in New Haven surrounded by family.

Glenn was born in New Haven, Missouri on January 8, 1933, the son of the late Arthur H. & Florence A. (Alberswerth) Pehle.

He was the husband of Elaine  (Rodgers) Pehle.  They were united in marriage on June 6, 1981, at Berger, Missouri. 

Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955.  He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association and American Legion Post 366 of New Haven.

Glenn was a truck driver for Lloyd Lynn Trucking of Labadie, he was an over the road truck driver for Kellwood for 34 years, and then worked for Precision Rebuilders of St. Clair.  He logged over 4 million miles in 37 years of truck driving. 

Glenn attended church at Casco United Methodist Church, Leslie, Missouri.  In his free time he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, going to flea markets, hunting, bird watching, reading and spending time with his family.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Elaine Pehle, of New Haven, Missouri; three daughters, Michelle Rice & husband Rodney, of Washington, Missouri; Teresa Harris, of Fayetteville, Georgia; and Melissa Pehle-Hoemann & husband Donald, of New Haven, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Danny Cowsert, Amy Clavenna, and Travis & Jamie Harris, six great grandchildren, Devin, Brooke and Aubrey Cowsert, Kaitlyn Hobson, Emma Sperry and Nikola Clavenna, and by his beloved dog "Charlie".

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Barbara "Duckie" John, a sister, Eleanor Roux and two brothers, Leonard & Merlin Pehle.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where a memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. James Wilshusen officiating. 

Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Leslie Food Pantry or Cuba MO Animal Control.
