Glenda C. Hoerstkamp, 76, of Washington, MO, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
Glenda was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 12, 1949, the daughter of the late William & Geneva (Ingale) Cowens.
She was the wife of Stephen Hoerstkamp. They were united in marriage on December 30, 1967, at Assumption Church, New Haven, MO. Together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Glenda was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Washington, Missouri. She was a homemaker and was always happy to help take care of her grandchildren.
Glenda loved her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with her friends.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Steve Hoerstkamp, of Washington; a son, Troy Hoerstkamp & wife Sheri, of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter, Angela Klahn & husband Scott, of Washington, Missouri; four grandchildren, Brandon Hoerstkamp & wife Kelsey, Omaha, Nebraska; Connor Hoerstkamp & wife Madeline, Omaha, Nebraska; Abby Vitale & husband Andy, Washington, Missouri; and Caroline Klahn, Omaha, Nebraska; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Linda Cowens, of New Haven, Missouri; Vicki Liesmann & husaband Mike, of Florida; and Bonnie Craig, of New Haven, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Larry Cowens, and four sisters, Patty Weiser, Karen Wichmann, Brenda Redhage and Rebecca Cowens in infancy.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 9th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
Funeral mass will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Church, New Haven, Missouri.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial donations may be given to American Cancer Society.
