Gladys Marie (Jenkins) Bowen

Gladys Marie Bowen, 85, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at her home.

Gladys was born in Marceline, Missouri on March 3, 1939, the daughter of the late Paul Thomas Jenkins & Anna Rosetta (Bailey) McClain.

She was the widow of Paul Stanley Bowen Jr. They were united in marriage on July 7, 1957, in Hernando, Mississippi.  Paul preceded her in death on July 5, 2014.  

Gladys worked as an administrative assistant for the President of the DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, Missouri for over 15 years.  She was also her husband's caretaker.

She was a member of the Hermann Garden Club.  She enjoyed going for walks, gardening, and mostly spending time with her family.

Gladys is survived by a daughter, Pam Jacquin & husband Larry, of Swiss, Missouri; a son, Brian Bowen & significant other Sabrina, of St. Louis, Missouri; a daughter, Paige Curtis, of St. Charles, Missouri; grandchildren, Kristy Parsons & husband Shannon Rylee, of Washington, Missouri; Danny Scott Parsons, of Wood River, Illinois; Kenny Pitts, of St. Louis, Missouri; Josh Pitts, of St. Charles, Missouri; Shawana Dare & husband Justin, of Owensville, Missouri; Kayla Bowen, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tyler Jacquin & wife Alicia, of Pacific, Missouri and Isaiah Werner, of St. Louis, Missouri; and seven great grandchildren, Bailee, Rylee, Cohen, Averie, Caelyn, Shamus and Quin.

A private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.  Memorial donations may be given to Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer.
