George H. Schroer

George H. Schroer, 80, of McKittrick, MO, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri. 

George was born in Gore, Missouri on December 26, 1941, the son of the late Herman & Ethel (Cregar) Schroer.

He was the husband of Judy (Strassner) Schroer.  They were united in marriage on April 4, 1970, at St. Marcus Church, Rhineland, Missouri. 

George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a member & trustee of Liberty Baptist Church, Big Spring, Missouri. 

George worked various jobs.  He worked in maintenance for New Florence Nursing Home, for the Callaway Nuclear Plant in security and for Western Auto.  After retirement he mowed grass. 

George is survived by his wife, Judy Schroer, of McKittrick; two daughters, Janet Duke, of McKittrick, and 
Karen Becker & husband Allen, of Labadie, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Matthew, Grace and Sara Duke , an Aunt, Bernice Schroer, of New Florence, Missouri; and by many other relatives & friends.  

He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Jessica Duke.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. 

Burial will be at Loutre Island Cemetery, McKittrick, Missouri, with full military honors.
