Gary Lee Rost

Gary Lee Rost, 59, of Morrison, MO, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Drake, Missouri. 

Gary was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on April 12, 1964, the son of Omer & Rosemary (Keilholz) Rost.

He was united in marriage to Julia Ann (Jones) Rost on November 29, 1990, in Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force then the National Guard.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Gasconade.  

Gary was a union sheet metal worker.  He worked for Monsanto and Natch.  In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, riding his UTV and watching the St. Louis Cardinal games.

Gary is survived by his mother, Rosemary Rost, of Chamois, Missouri; a step son, Bruce Alan Wehmeyer II & wife Chasity, of Grandview, Missouri; two step daughters, Alicia Wehmeyer, and Jennifer (Wehmeyer) Gibson & husband Chad, of Owensville, Missouri; a step son, Andrew Wehmeyer & wife Brittany, of Bland, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth Rost & wife Jackie, of Chamois, Missouri; a sister, Denise Mausshardt & husband Chuck, of Ballwin, Missouri; and 14 grandchildren, Audrey, Kaitlin, Courtney, Kylee, Airanna, Adalynn, Lilly, Bryce, William, Adien, Cameron, Preston, Hailey and Jackson.

He is preceded in death by his father, Omer Rost and his wife, Julia Rost.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Morrison, Missouri.  Memorial donations may be given to funeral home to help cover expenses.
