Gary Gildehaus Obituary

Gary Joseph Gildehaus, 62, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in New Haven, Missouri.

Gary was born in Washington, Missouri on September 28, 1958 to Richard and Corine (Glosemeyer) Gildehaus. He was baptized at St. Francis Borgia Church on October 12, 1958 and was confirmed there on March 23, 1966.

He was united in marriage to Joann Hesemann, July 3, 1982, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud, MO. They spent over 38 wonderful years together on their farm raising their family.

He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in New Haven, Missouri, where he served on the church council as trustee for many years.

He graduated from Washington High School in 1976 and spent several years working for Strubbe Farms before starting a career as a cement mason.  He was a member of Cement Mason Local No 527 for 35 years, until he retired to work as an independent contractor.

Gary loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren’s events.  Gary never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone who needed help.  He had an infectious laugh and could brighten up any room he entered. He enjoyed working on the farm, baling hay, and fixing whatever needed to be fixed. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with friends.
