Gail Leslie Laschke, 81, of Arnold, MO, passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 peacefully at her residence.  

Gail was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 22, 1942, the daughter of the late Leslie & Virginia (Reeves) Kapper.

She was the wife of Clarence "Ed" E. Ashby.  They were united in marriage on March 7, 2009 in Villa Ridge, Missouri.

Gail spent her life as a homemaker.  In her free time she loved doing craft projects to give to her family & friends. She also enjoyed doing genealogy research with her husband Ed.

Gail is survived by her husband, Ed Ashby, a son, Joseph V. Laschke & wife Rebecca, a daughter, Kathy L. Jashke, a son, Michael A. Laschke, two grandchildren, Joseph M. Laschke & wife Rachel and Jamie L. Barlow & husband Shane, by four great grandchildren, and a sister, Vickie Haring & husband Mark.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Joseph Laschke, who preceded her on June 19, 2003, and her siblings, Virginia Stephan, Phyllis Bartner, David Kapper, Delores Vance, Richard Kapper and Patrick Kapper.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6th from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be given to DeGreef Hospice House.
