Fredia "Moe" (Stiers) Peters

Fredia "Moe" Peters, 89, of Hermann, MO, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann.

Moe was born in Rhineland, Missouri on March 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Parker & Louisa (Theissen) Stiers.

She was the widow of Reuben William Peters.  They were united in marriage on January 23, 1954, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann. Together they had three children, Cindy, Kelly & Scott and shared 47 years of marriage.  Reuben preceded her in death on February 8, 2001.

Moe worked at both International Shoe & Florsheim Shoe and then for Handi Pack Toy as an inspector.

Moe is survived by two daughters, Cindy Penning & husband Matt and Kelly Hanger & husband Steve, both of Hermann; by 4 grandchildren, Chris Penning, Jeremy (Carrie) Penning, Erica (Jason) Herron and Brandon (Nicole) Peters, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Scott Peters, three sisters, Ruby Jackisch, Jenny Lee Stiers and Nell Walkenbach and four brothers, Harry, Jim, Bill & Bonny Stiers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 19th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where a memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.  Memorial donations may be given to Emmaus Home, St. Paul United Church of Christ, or Gentiva Hospice.
