Frank Van Kamp, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Frank was born on November 13, 1947, in Hague, Netherlands, the son of the late Rink & Toos Van Kamp. He came with his family to America when he was three. In his twenties he settled in Hermann, where he became a beloved figure in town. Loved by many and friend to all, he championed the town and worked endlessly to help it thrive. He could often be seen about town in his Hawaiian shirt, visiting with locals and tourists alike (and maybe doing a little cookie cruising).
Frank is survived by his life partner Donna Saguto-Nestle and beloved dog Sadie. He embraced Donna’s seven children as his own and was a proud and loving grandpa to their fifteen grandchildren, which include,son Bill Saguto and grandchildren Charles Wilson-Saguto and wife Desi, Holly Saguto, Jacob Saguto and Montana Saguto; son Mike Saguto; daughter Suzi (Saguto) and husband Chris Dieckhaus and grandchildren Mikayla Dieckhaus, Alexander Dieckhaus, and Nathan Dieckhaus; son Greg Saguto and wife Kim and grandchildren Trevor Saguto and Thomas Saguto; daughter Jeanette Saguto-Rosen and grandchildren Austin Rosen, Devin Rosen and his fiancée Maggie Schipper; daughter Chrissy (Saguto) and husband Jake Slater, and grandchildren Hannah Yeager and Jenna Yeager; daughter Debbie Saguto-Kuhn and grandchildren Tyler Kuhn and wife Claire (Kotthoff) and Krista Kuhn.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 24th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where memorial services will follow at 5:00 p.m.
Memorials donations may be given to American Heart Association.
