Evelyn "Evie" P. Baer, 91, of New Haven, MO, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026 at Aspen Valley Senior Home, Washington, Missouri.
Evie was born on the farm in Berger, Missouri on June 18, 1934, the daughter of the late August & Lydia (Breckenkamp) Pehle. She attended Grant & Lyon Schools and then New Haven High School.
She was the widow of Ralph H. Baer. They were united in marriage in June of 1955.
Evie was an active member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, where she was a kindergarten Sunday school teacher for almost 20 years, on the memorial committee, was a greater and on the church council for three years, serving as secretary. She was also a member of New Haven American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Girl Scout Leader and the PTA president.
She was the bookkeeper at Pepsi Bottling Company in New Haven for 65 years, where she was a very dedicated and loyal employee. She loved to travel and go on bus trips, loved cats and to play cards.
Evie is survived by a daughter, Donna Duvall & husband David, of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Lance Baer, of Washington, Missouri; three grandchildren, Casey Warren & husband Chris and Sarah and Lance Baer, all of Washington, Missouri, four great grandchildren, Lance Baer, Knox Beste and Chloe & Chelsea Warren, a special niece, Jackie Bockting, nephew, Mike Bockting, lot of friends and relatives
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Gus Pehle and two sisters, Dorothy Guese and Marlene Bockting.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, with Rev. Carole Barner officiating.
Burial will be at New Haven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to St. Peter's U.C.C. or Franklin County Humane Society.
