Evelyn Marie (Struttman) Overkamp

Evelyn Marie Overkamp, 89, of Wellsville, MO, formerly of Rhineland, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Wellsville Health Care Center, Wellsville, Missouri. 

Evelyn was born in Starkenburg, Missouri on September 27, 1936, the daughter of the late Hugo & Edna (Hartman) Struttman.

She was united in marriage to Leander G. Overkamp on August 24, 1957 in Starkenburg, Missouri.  Together they shared 58 years of marriage.  Leander preceded her in death on January 8, 2016.

Evelyn worked for Handi-Pac/Steven Toy Manufacturer in Hermann.  She was a member of Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, Missouri.   In her free time she enjoyed gardening and planting & growing flowers.

Evelyn is  survived by a daughter, Carol Overkamp, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Tom L. Overkamp, of Union, Missouri; a daughter, Karen Graue, of Hermann, Missouri; two grandsons, Derek Graue & wife Jessica, of Hermann, Missouri and Jacob Graue & wife Bekah, of Big Spring, Missouri; five great grandchildren, Chet, River, Everett, Reid and Hank Graue; and two sisters-in-laws, Mary Schroff, of Hermann and Jackie Overkamp, of Ballwin, Missouri.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Greg Graue, a sister-in-law, Alma Bryan, and two brothers-in-law, Russell Overkamp & Roy Schroff.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at St. Martin's Cemetery, Starkenburg.  Memorial donations may be given to Our Lady of Sorrows Shrine, Starkenburg.
