Obituary

Evelyn Marie Heying, 81, of Rhineland, MO, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at Hermann Area District Hospital. 

Evelyn was born in Americus, Missouri on October 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Everett H. & Veronica M. (Bruckerhoff) Schlatt.

She was united in marriage to Severn D. Heying on April 4, 1959 at St. Martin's Church, Starkenburg, Missouri.   Severn preceded her in death on September 7, 2004.

Evelyn was a member of Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland. She worked in housekeeping for Hermann Area District Hospital for many years. 

Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Sheila Deppe & husband Derald, of Pershing, Missouri; a son, Stanley Heying & wife Lisa, of Rhineland, Missouri; a daughter, Renee Ziegler & husband Joseph, of Kirkwood, Missouri; a son, Everett Heying & wife Kelli, of Shawnee, Kansas; by eight grandchildren, Heather, Julianna, Shaun, Wes, Alison, Bryan, Cameron and Seth, by one step grandchild, Jamie, by four great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Melvin Schlatt.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1st from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, Rhineland, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Father Philip Niekamp officiating. 

Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery,  Rhineland, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to  Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer or Church of the Risen Savior.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
