Esther Marie (Meyer) Toelke

Esther Marie Toelke (nee Meyer) was born November 30, 1925, to Amanda (nee Homeyer) and Edward Meyer. She passed away Monday, July 3, 2023 at Aspen Valley Senior Homes in Washington, MO. 

She married Robert W. Toelke on September 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1992. 

Esther lived a fulfilling life as a wife, mother, sister, and friend. She loved knitting, sewing, crocheting, baking, and playing cards. She touched the lives of many people through these hobbies. She drove a school bus for R-2 School District and was active in 4-H, Bethlehem Lutheran LWML and New Haven VFW for many years.
 
She is survived by five children, Vera (Donald) Vedder, of New Haven, Karen (Robert) Hornbuckle, of Mission, TX, Marie (Dave) Lingenfelter, of Beaufort, Robert E. (Kelly) Toelke, of New Haven, and Tina (Greg) Ray, of Centralia; 10  grandchildren, Clif Vedder, Cindy Lierman, Justin Vedder, Crystal Lingenfelter, Alisha Lingenfelter, Amanda Hoerstkamp, Andrew Toelke, Alex Toelke, Kate Ray, and Ben Ray; and 21 great-grandchildren.  Her brother Chester Meyer preceded her in death. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5th from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, New Haven, where funeral services will follow at Noon.

Burial will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Bethlehem Lutheran Church
