Elizabeth M. (Sam) Stock

Elizabeth M. Stock, 101, of New Haven, MO, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri.

Elizabeth was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on December 31, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph Sam & Mary (Albert) Davis.

She moved to El Paso, Texas in 1942, where she met Wilbert E. Stock, Sr., who was in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Bliss, El Paso.  They were married October 7, 1945.  They moved to New Haven in 1949.

Elizabeth was employed by Kellwood Company as an accounting specialist for 28 years.  She retired in 1984.  She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven.

Elizabeth is survived by two  sons, Wilbert Stock Jr. & wife Sarah, of Kirksville, Missouri and Norman Stock & wife Rose Ann, of Blue Springs, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Dr. Suzanne Stock & husband Dr. Nathan Holton, of Iowa City, Iowa; Dr. Tyson Stock, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Mendy Arnett & husband Michael, of Oak Grove, Missouri; two great granddaughters, Ashley & Hannah LaMastres; one great grandson, Chase Arnett and one sister, Virginia Ethredge & husband Mac, of El Paso, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Tony Davis, two brothers, Edward & George Sam two sisters, Kay Mitchell and Emily Frisbie, two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth & Josephine Sam and two step brothers, George & Kalim Davis.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, Missouri, with Rev. Dr. Dan Smith officiating.

Burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials may be given to St. Peters U.C.C. Memorial Fund.
