Earl Louis Huxol, 90, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at Hermann Area District Hospital.
Earl was born in Berger, Missouri on April 17, 1930, the son of the late Louis & Flora (Schmidt) Huxol.
He was the husband of Delores (Horstmann) Huxol. They were united in marriage on August 20, 1950, at St. Paul U.C.C., Hermann, MO.
Earl was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann. He was an assistant Boy Scout Leader and was awarded the "Order of the Arrow" from the scouts.
Earl worked at Zero Manufacturing, in Berger and also for SECO, in Washington. He enjoyed playing the saxophone, especially in bands playing the big band sound and swing music. He played in the B.A. Wagner Band, the Richard Starke Band, and the Hermann City Band. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors and doing woodworking.
Earl is survived by his wife, Delores Huxol, of the home; by three sons, Bruce Huxol & wife Diane, of Blue Springs, Missouri; David Huxol & wife Kathy, of Washington, Missouri; and Charles Huxol & wife Sherry, of Washington, Missouri; by a sister-in-law, Charlene Haid, of Berger, Missouri; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Delphine Huxol.
Private graveside services will be held at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, Missouri.
