Duane "Bud" Moellinger, 70, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at his home.
Bud was born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 9, 1955, the son of the late Arval & June (Christophel) Moellinger.
He was the husband of Sheri (Mueller) Moellinger. They were united in marriage on July 15, 1978, in Pevely, Missouri. Together they shared 47 years of marriage.
Bud owned & operated his own electronics, church bell, and carillon installation and repair business for over 40 years. He enjoyed horseback riding, caring for his horses and dogs, reading, flying and being outdoors.
Bud was an assistant scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America for several years. He was a member of the Mid American Indian Fellowship, where he was an ordained helper. He and Sheri went to South Dakota for 12 years to provide free veterinary services to the people on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri Moellinger, of Hermann; a son, Jason Moellinger, of Hermann, Missouri; grandchildren, Serenity, Kahrston, Vincent & Jasmine; his mother-in-law, Barbara Mueller, of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Boaz and Susan Moellinger, both of Hermann, Missouri; and two sisters-in-law, Kathy Hughes & husband Mike, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Susan Crawshaw & husband Mark, of St. Louis, Missouri.
No services will be held at this time. Memorial donations may be given to Ferals in Peril in Hermann.
