Dr. G. Robert Fritz

Dr. G. Robert Fritz, 79, of Berger, MO, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Mary R. (Bucher) Fritz, of rural Hermann, by his four daughters, Marcie (Dr. Tom) Fritz-Reichenbacher, of Tucson, Arizona; Dr. Katherine (Ann Beckemeyer) Fritz, of Baltimore, Maryland; Ashley Haffner, of Wyoming, Illinois; and Leslie Foulke (Brad) Naegele, of Park Falls, Wisconsin, and two granddaughters, Breanna Lattin and Elena Haffner.  He is preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Gladys E. (Schildnecht) Fritz.

He grew up in O'Fallon, Illinois where he attended the public schools.  He graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor's Degree and in 1967 with a Master's Degree from Washington University.  He earned a PhD from St. Louis University in 1972.

He taught at Central High School in St. Louis for 2 years.  He then spent the next 29 years of his career in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as a teacher and administrator.  He retired in 1996 as Superintendent of Schools.

At his request, no funeral services will be held.  Memorials may be given to Hermann Garden Club Scholarship Fund or Gasconade County R-1 School Back-Pack Program.   C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
