Donnie Ray Witthaus, 85, of Hermann, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home.
Don was born in Morrison, Missouri on June 23, 1936, the son of the late Rudolph & Matilda (Birk) Witthaus.
He was the husband of Adlee (Rau) Witthaus. They were united in marriage on October 17, 1959, in Chamois, Missouri.
Don was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann. He was a past member of the Breakfast Club, Hermann Lions Club and Rough Country Trail Riders.
Don was the owner and operator of a service station for several years. He later started a John Deere dealership, Don's Implements, that he owned and operated for 25 years until his retirement.
Don is survived by his wife Adlee; three sons, D. Scott Witthaus & wife Diane, of Rogersville, Missouri; J. Todd Witthaus & wife Kellie, of Hermann, Missouri; and Gilbert Witthaus & wife Annette, of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter, Dana Engelmeyer & husband Timothy, of Chesterfield, Missouri; by 10 grandchildren, Jill Bacon & husband Danny, Logan Witthaus & wife Rachael, Josh Witthaus & wife Kallie, Seth Witthaus, Jacob Witthaus, Brooke Witthaus, Abby Gerlemann & husband Chase and Avery, Luke and Blake Engelmeyer, and by seven great grandchildren who were his greatest enjoyment.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Floyd and LeRoy Witthaus, sisters, Talitha Winkelmann, Loretta Whithaus and Darla Jones and by an infant brother and sister.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial donation may be given to Children’s Emergency Fund c/o Hermann High School.
