Donald "Don" Brooks

Donald "Don" M. Brooks, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 at St. Andrews of New Florence, New Florence,  Missouri.

Don was born in Webster Groves, Missouri on December 5, 1933, the son of the late Fredrick & Hazel (Houghton) Brooks.

He was the husband of Betty (Kennedy) Brooks.  They were married on August 25, 1956, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. 

Don proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was a member of Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, Missouri.  He taught junior high school.

Don is survived by his wife, Betty Brooks, of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter, Charlotte Emmons & husband Rick, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Mark Brooks & wife Jill, of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter, Mary Caragher & husband Greg, of Ballwin, Missouri; a son, Patrick Brooks & wife Stephanie, of Jefferson City, Missouri; by seven grandchildren, Andrew Emmons & wife Kara, Steven Emmons, Ashley Aaron & husband Michael, Isaac Brooks & wife Katie, Ryan Brooks, Samantha Brooks and Katie Caragher and by three great grandchildren, Reid & Chet Emmons and Brooks Aaron.  

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Marshall, Robert and Stanley Brooks.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Hermann United Methodist Church, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Patterson Community Cemetery, Patterson, Missouri. 

Memorials may be given to Alzheimer's Association.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
