Dolores "Dodo" Mae (Dothage) Smith

Dolores "Dodo" Mae Smith, 91, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at StoneBridge Hermann.

Dolores was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Hugo Dothage & Esther Wegener.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Smith on September 1, 1951, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, MO.   Kenneth preceded her in death on February 4, 2016.

Dolores was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, St. Paul's Women's Fellowship, Red Hat Society and a Jaycees Wives member.

Dolores managed Corwin Fabric in Hermann for over 20 years.  She enjoyed visiting with people, working at the Fabric Shop, the Hermann Visitor Center and she also enjoyed short drives.

Dolores is survived by two sons, Gary Smith & wife Aurelia, of Ballwin, Missouri; and Todd Smith & wife Susann, of Hermann, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jennifer Collom & husband Steve, of Topeka, Kansas; Nicholas Smith, of Chamois, Missouri; Lindsay Edwards & husband Brian, of Labadie, Missouri; and Colby Smith & wife Ashley, of Hermann, Missouri; and six great grandchildren, Jarred, Kristen, Olivia, Emry, Blake and Riley.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 25th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Andy Wilson officiating.

Burial will be at  Hermann Cemetery, Hermann, Missouri. Memorials may be given to  St. Paul U.C.C. or Historic Hermann.
