Dixie Ann Hale, 83, of New Haven, MO, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
Dixie was born in Washington, Missouri on April 23, 1941, the daughter of the late Woodrow "Bo" & Bernice (Phillips) Jenkins.
She was the widow of Donald Lee Hale, Sr. They were united in marriage on June 27, 1992, at New Haven, Missouri. Donald preceded her in death on October 16, 2019.
Dixie was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, New Haven, where she was involved in many church activities. She worked at Langenberg Hat Factory in New Haven as a hat rimmer for 30 years. She loved planting flowers, cutting grass, being outdoors and spending time with her family and grandkids.
Dixie is survived by a daughter, Tammie Pohlmann & husband Marvin, of New Haven, Missouri; a son, Delmar "Jr", Jones & special friend Tiffany, of New Haven, Missouri; a daughter, Tracy Vance & husband Scott, of Hermann, Missouri; a step son, Donnie Hale II, of Belle, Missouri; a step daughter, Sharon Zyduck & husband Perry, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two sisters, Karen Minks & husband Dale, of Union, Missouri; and Linda Messex, of St. Clair, Missouri; a brother, Danny Jenkins & wife Sheila, of Washington, Missouri; by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, and a honorary grandson, Chris Hudson and granddaughter Nikki Hudson.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Donna German and a brother, David Jenkins.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
