Dean Charles Althage, 73, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas.
Dean was born in Washington, Missouri on January 9, 1951, the son of the late Karl B. & Alice S. (Kappelmann) Althage.
Dean served his country in the United States Army. He was a hazmat removal technician for META Environmental Company for many years until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Dean is survived by his brother, Greg Althage, of Sullivan, Missouri; his niece, nephews, their families, and his cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Karl F. Althage.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held Saturday, November 2, at 12:00 p.m. at New Haven Cemetery, followed by a reception of family and friends at the New Haven Preservation Society at the Old School Building, 810 Maupin Street, New Haven, MO from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made directly to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
