David Parker Walkenbach, 73, of Hermann, MO, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, David built a successful career in sales, management, and IT consulting. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a man of many passions—most notably his love for aviation and personal computing technologies. Above all, David was deeply devoted to his family and friends, always offering his unwavering support, wisdom, and humor.
David never met a stranger, and he had a gift for storytelling—often sharing his favorite tales more than once with those lucky enough to hear them. His warmth and ability to connect with people left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his three children, Jennifer, Barry, and Brett, as well as his beloved grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbie and Nell.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann, MO, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial services will be held at St. George Cemetery thereafter, with a reception at St. George Cafeteria at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in David’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or the American Liver Foundation.
David’s kindness, humor, and larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
