Danny Wayne Martin, 70, of Hermann, MO, died Thursday, September 16th, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Town & Country, Missouri.
Danny was born in Puducah, Kentucky on January 5, 1951, a son of the late Anna (Bridgewater) and John Martin.
He was a member of St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, Missouri 65041.
As an electronic engineer he created light, as an artist he followed in the footsteps of his parents and captured light. He was a self-employed entrepreneur working in laser design and development holding at least 13 patents under his name and many others for specific companies. He was also instrumental in helping his wife and sons with the development of Martin Brothers Winery.
He enjoyed designing and creating electronic devices, relief carving, water coloring, landscaping, gardening but his biggest joy of all was his family.
He was the husband of Esther (Rodriquez) Martin; they were married on November 6th, 1971 in Tucson, Arizona.
Danny is survived by his wife Esther; a daughter, Natalie Martin, of O'Fallon, MO; four sons Jonathan Martin and wife Kathryn of Wildomar, CA; Nicholas Martin, of Hermann, MO; Patrick Martin and wife Sooyoung, of Hermann, MO; Derek Martin and wife Anna, of Hermann, MO; a sister, Rita Horn and a brother, Larry Martin, both of Tucson, Arizona.
He is survived by six grandsons Brody, Issac, Ian, Dwight, Magnus, Wyatt; and two granddaughters Angelina & Mila. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, one aunt, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be at St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, Missouri at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21st, with Father Bill Debo officiating.
