Clarence Schooley Obituary

Clarence A. Schooley, 91, of Gasconade, MO, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at St. Joseph Health Center, St. Charles, Missouri. 

Clarence was born in Moran, Kansas on May 12, 1929, the son of the late Claude & Ona (Myers) Schooley.

Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he was awarded a purple heart.

Clarence was united in marriage to Williadean "Dean" Peters on February 13, 1954, in Gasconade, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on April 4, 2008.

Clarence was employed as a supply management officer with the Department of Veterans Affairs.  He was a member of Gasconade Union Church, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and National Association Retired Federal Employees.  

He is survived by a brother, Richard Schooley, of St. Peters, Missouri, a sister, Maxine Dutch, of St. Peters, Missouri, and by many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Kenneth Schooley and two sisters, Deloris Dyhouse and Aliene Priefer.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 24th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Gasconade Cemetery, Gasconade, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to Gasconade Union Church. C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
