Charles Werner Rost, 78, of Morrison, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the University of Missouri Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri.
Charles was born in Morrison, Missouri on December 9, 1946, the son of the late Myron C. & Margaret A. (Thuli) Rost.
He was the husband of Lorna J. (Christopher) Rost. They were united in marriage on August 9, 1969, in Morrison, Missouri. Together they shared 55 years of marriage.
Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morrison and was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Charlie quoted himself as a "slightly below average farmer" his whole life.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling and surveying the local crops.
Charles is survived by his wife, Lorna Rost; two sons Mark & Matthew Rost and a daughter, Sarah Kempker & spouses; three grandchildren, Taylor, Kiara & Kaden; two sisters, Annette Henley & Angela Pool & spouses; three brothers, James, Stephen & Glennon Rost & spouses; two sisters-in-law, Doris & Linda and many nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Edward, Andrew & Myron Patrick Rost.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Assumption Church, Morrison, where a funeral mass will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Father David Means officiating.
Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Assumption Cemetery Fund.
