Cary Dee (Zumsteg) Prior

Cary Dee Prior, 81, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri.

Cary was born in Hermann, Missouri on July 21, 1940, the daughter of the late James & Alda (Lensing) Zumsteg.

Cary was a member of River City Church, Washington, Missouri. She worked for Beacon Shoe Factory and Decora in Montgomery City. 

Cary is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Hopkins, of Montgomery City, Missouri; a son, William Joseph Prior, Jr., of Montgomery City, Missouri; a son, Michael Allen Prior, of Wellsville, Missouri; a daughter, Barbara Ann Schoolcraft, of Hermann, Missouri; a son, Jeffery Dean Prior, of Springfield, Missouri; a son, Kirk Matthew Prior, of Montgomery City, Missouri; by 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. 

 She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Glen Wayne Prior, a sister, Shirley Forbis, and four brothers, Toddy, Gary, Dennis and Kenny Zumsteg.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 30th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, Missouri, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at New Florence Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to River City Church.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
