Carolyn Mae Ewart, 89, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Victorian Place of Hermann.
Carolyn was born in Hemlock, Michigan on February 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Welby Sr. & Cassie (Crawford) Erskine.
She was the widow of Chester G. Ewart. They were united in marriage on October 21, 1989. Chester preceded her in death on December 5, 2006.
Carolyn worked as an executive assistant for the Northeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission. She was a member of the Hermann United Methodist Church.
Carolyn enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and gardening. She also loved spending time with her family and traveling.
Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Diana Pohlman & husband Randy, of Rhineland, Missouri; three sons, Jeff Wilsey & wife Cindy, of St. Charles, Missouri; Frank Ewart & wife Barb, of Shelbina, Missouri; and Arlen Ewart & wife Becky, of Bedford, Texas; by her grandchildren, Eric Shockley, Beth Volkart & husband Cory, Lisa Haslag & husband Zach, Ashley & Alexandria Wilsey, Patrick Ewart & wife Lindsey, Megan Whittley & husband Scott, Leslie Winters & husband Shay, and Theresa Kendrick & husband Kyle, and by great-grandchildren, Grant, Brock & Dane Shockley, Ellery Adamski, Addie & Emmie Volkart, Grace Haslag, Gavin Thomas, Dean & Liv Ewart, Maci, Gage, & Kiara Winters, Kenzie Niemeyer, Kanon Kendrick, and Kelsey Bender.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Welby Jr. & Hersey Erskine and two sisters, Juanita Bartlett and her husband Al, and Nancy Hare & her husband Marv.
