Carol Ann Grannemann-Collins of Jonesburg, formerly of Hermann passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at St. Andrews Nursing Home, New Florence, Mo.
Carol Ann was born January 26, 1939 in Hermann, Missouri, the daughter of the late Earl R. and Opal M. (nee Wray) Rector. She attended Hermann High School.
She was united in marriage to Robert "Bobbie" Grannemann on November 20, 1954, in New Haven, Missouri. To this union four sons were born, Mark, Corey, Chad and Clay. On May 2, 2002 her husband Bobby passed away suddenly. Carol later remarried to Lonnie Collins on September 15, 2006, in Hermann, Missouri.
Carol was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, Missouri. She and her husband Bobby owned & operated Grannemann Radio & TV in Hermann for over 40 years. They had four stores located in Hermann, Montgomery City, Washington and Union.
Carol is survived by her husband, Lonnie Collins, of Jonesburg, Missouri; by sons, Corey Grannemann & wife Carol, of Avon, Indiana; Chad Grannemann & wife Adriana, of Hermann, Missouri; and Clay Grannemann & partner Shellea Hickman, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Grannemann, of Jefferson City, Missouri; a step-daughter, Linda Collins, of St. Charles, Missouri; step-son, Scott Collins, of Wentzville, Missouri; step-son, Bart Collins & wife Wendy, of Marine, Illinois; step-daughter, Debbie Orf & husband Joe, of Winfield, Missouri; step-son, Roger Collins & wife Jennifer, of Chesterfield, Missouri; step-daughter, Missy Hebert & husband Kevin, of St. Charles, Missouri; by nine grandchildren, Courtney Kohne & husband Tim, Derek Grannemann & wife Nancy, Cydney Granneman, Peyton, Kobe and Ashlyn Grannemann and Conner, Cameron & Colin Grannemann, three great-grandchilren, Rylee and Aiden Kohne and Olivia Grannemann, 14 step grandchildren, Jason, Sara, Michael, Rachael, Branndon, Alisha, Logan, Phil, Becca, Karli, Colby, Quinn, Lexi and Kayla and two step great grandchildren, Matt & Charlie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Bobby Grannemann, a son, Mark Grannemann and brother, Russell Rector.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m, with Rev. Dr. Dan Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann. Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul U.C.C. or St. George School.
