Carlotta Jane (Atterberry) Wells

Carlotta Jane Wells, 76, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at her home. 

Carlotta was born in Santa Barbara, California on May 7, 1944, the daughter of the late Rufus Gilbert & Phyllis Jane (Sanford) Atterberry.

She was the widow of Jesse Andrew Wells, Jr.  They were united in marriage on November 5, 1966, in Big Spring, Missouri.  Jesse preceded her in death on March 3, 2001.

Carlotta was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Montgomery City, Missouri.  Her last place of employment was at Hermann Area District Hospital as a dietary assistant. 

Carlotta is survived by two sons, Felix Wells and David Wells & wife Kelly, all of Hermann, Missouri; a daughter, Denice Beames & husband Rob, of Wentzville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jonathon and Matthew Wells and Brianna and Brandon Beames, one brother, Uriel Atterberry, of Laramie, Wyoming; and three sisters, Gail Belcher, of Paris, Missouri; Paula Tonkins, of Hermann, Missouri; and Olivia Hoyler, of Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Rufus Gilbert Atterberry, Jr. and an infant sister, Marlane Atterberry.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Montgomery City, Missouri, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. John Brumagin officiating. 

Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery, Big Spring, Missouri.  Memorials may be given to  Gideons International.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
