Carl Albert Gibson, Jr.

Carl Albert Gibson, Jr., 88, of New Haven, MO, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri. 

Carl was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 16, 1933, the son of the late Carl Albert Gibson Sr. & Helene (Apel) Wienhoff.

Carl was united in marriage to Katherine Woods on August 6, 1955 at Excelsior Springs, Missouri.  Katherine preceded him in death on May 15, 2008.

Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army.   He worked for Engineered Air Systems as a plant manager until his retirement. 

In his free time Carl enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Carl is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Nadler & husband Craig, of New Haven, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Stacy Reed & husband Colby, of St. Louis, Missouri; Tyler Hart & significant other Katie Jenner, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Taylor Nadler & significant other Brandon Chac, of O'Fallon, Missouri;and by two great grandchildren, Collins & Sutton Reed, of St. Louis.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Katherine Gibson and a great granddaughter, Kennedy Reed.

No services will be held at this time.  A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Franklin County Humane Society.   Arrangement are under the direction of Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
