Brenda A. Baur, 81, of Hermann, MO, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri.
Brenda was born in Hermann, Missouri on October 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Beaumont Gholson & Marie (Wehrle) Skouby.
Brenda was the wife of Gene Baur. They were united in marriage on June 3, 1961, at St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, MO. They treasured over 62 years of blissful marriage together.
Brenda was a member of St. George Catholic Church, Hermann, Missouri. She worked as a secretary for Community Federal Savings & Loan and Lionberger Agency. She absolutely enjoyed meeting people from all over the world while working at the Hermann Welcome Center.
In her free time Brenda enjoyed traveling. She loved spending Februarys in Fort Myers Beach, Florida with Gene and later sharing her love of the island with her two daughters. She also loved the mountains of Colorado. She enjoyed spending her spare time shopping and sometimes just window shopping. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Gene Baur, of Hermann, Missouri; two daughters, Julie Bruckerhoff & husband Wayne, of Hermann, Missouri; and Lisa Cox & husband Robert, of Columbia, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth Mark Skouby & wife Debbie, of Holts Summit, Missouri; a sister, Kim Crowe & husband Marty, of Hermann, Missouri; a brother, Kirk Skouby, of Leslie, Michigan; and brother, Kevin Skouby, of Lansing, Michigan; by two grandchildren, Ashten Heying & husband Wes, of Hermann, Missouri; and Evan Cox, of Columbia, Missouri, and a great granddaughter, Elsie Heying
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13th from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. George Church, Hermann, where a funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be at St. George Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. George School, Hermann Area District Hospital, or Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer.
