Bernadine A. (Burkart) Brune

Bernadine A. Brune, 75, of New Haven, Mo, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Missouri. 

Bernadine was born in St. Clair, Missouri on August 7, 1947, the daughter of the late Adaline (Kossina) and Harold Burkart.

She was the wife of Dennis W. Brune.  They were married on October 3, 1970, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, Mo.

Bernadine and her husband Dennis owned and operated Brune Electric in New Haven, Missouri.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, Missouri, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Franklin County Cattleman's Assoc. and a board member of the University of Missouri Outreach & Extension. 

Bernadine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working outdoors helping with farm chores, especially raking hay.

Bernadine is survived by her husband, Dennis W. Brune, by two sons, Bryan J. Brune and wife Kendra, of Hermann; and Darren W. Brune and wife Maggie, of New Haven; by a brother-in-law Howard Brune and a sister-in-law Shirley Guerrant, both of New Haven. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Caraline, Nicholas, Nolan, Chloe, Isaac and Ethan. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Mo.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, Missouri, with Rev. Dr. Dan Smith officiating.  Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.
