Barbara Jean (Flagg) Sunfield

Barbara Jean Sunfield, 84, of Owensville, MO, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

Barbara was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 12, 1938, the daughter of the late Howard & Antoinette (Bracke) Flagg.

She was the widow of Randy R. Sunfield. They were united in marriage on October 31, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, MO.  Randy preceded her in death on May 28, 1997.

Barbara was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven. She owned & operated Sunfield Nursery for several years. 

Barbara is survived by a son, Richard Bray & wife Marla, of Owensville, Missouri; two daughters, Cynthia Gray & husband Rick, of Owensville, Missouri; and Debra Woodcock & husband Alfred, of Sullivan, Missouri;  a son, James Bray, of St. Clair, Missouri; a step daughter, Faye Wright, of St. Louis, Missouri; a step son, Todd Sunfield, of Berger, Missouri; by three grandchildren, Derick Bray & wife Amanda, Stephanie Gray and Tiffany Hardin & husband James, numerous great grandchildren, a brother Raymond Flagg, a sister, Katherine Shelton, a sister, Frannie Eagan, a sister, Mary Ann Eatherton, a sister, Teresa Bunch and a brother, James Flagg.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a grandson Steven Bray, by four sisters, Ann McKenna, Pat Lippert, Donna Greer and Nancy Dent and two brothers, Dennis & Howard "Billy" Flagg.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 8th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Andrew Preus officiating. 
 
Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church.
