Barbara Ann Gammon, 79, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Windsor Estates of St. Charles.
Barbara was born in Esther, Missouri on June 24, 1944, the daughter of the late Burlon & Pearl (McCutcheon) Jenkerson.
She was united in marriage to Harlow Shapley Gammon on December 2, 1964, in St. Charles, Missouri. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage. Harlow preceded her in death on July 4, 2019.
Barbara worked in the cafeteria for the St. Charles Schools. She attended church at the First Baptist Church in St. Charles.
Barbara is survived by a daughter, Patricia Lampe, of St. Charles, a son, David Gammon, of St. Charles, three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Misha and Sammy; one great granddaughter, Kathryn, two sisters, Blanche White and Janice Gowen, three brothers, David, Charlie and James Jenkerson, and many nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Eugene, Donald, Delano, Johnny and Cletus Jenkerson, a brother in infancy, and sisters, Gladene Lashley, Mary Bell Currington, Doris Preston, Ruthie Stinnet, Rita Jae Woffard, and Susie Lundmark.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Darrel officiating.
Burial is at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, High Hill, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the cemetery.
