Arleen C. Fowler, 88, of Hermann, MO, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at StoneBridge Senior Living, Hermann, Missouri.
Arleen was born in Hermann, Missouri on January 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Wilbert & Clara (Horstmann) Alberswerth.
She was the widow of William ”Bill” C. Fowler.
Arleen was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Senate Grove, Missouri, where she was involved in many functions, along with the cemetery. She was also a member of the Missouri Teacher Association Alumni. Arleen graduated from Southeast Missouri State College in 1966 with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a 4th grade teacher at the Lindbergh School District in St. Louis for over 30 years.
Arleen was a world traveler. She traveled with her good friend Judy Nichols. She had been to every continent. She enjoyed cooking and bringing meals to her family and spending time at the family farm. She enjoyed going to dinner and doing activities with her friends at Laclede Groves Senior Living.
Arleen is survived by a sister, Joyce Sulltrop, of Washington, Missouri, a niece & nephews and a great niece and a great nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Kenneth L. Alberswerth and a brother-in-law Ray Sulltrop.
Arleen always had a huge smile and a contagious laugh. She was extremely kind and a very generous, caring person. She had a lot of friends and loving family that will miss her immensely.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Senate Grove, with Rev. Tony Townley officiating.
Burial will be at Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the cemetery.
