Anthony Meyer Obituary

Anthony Francis Meyer, 90, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025.

Anthony was born at home in New Haven on February 8, 1935, the fourth of nine children of the late Andreas and Clara (Frankenberg) Meyer. He received his education at Assumption Grade School.

Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a faithful member of Assumption Church. For more than fifty years, he worked with Kellwood and its successor companies, and loved nothing more than running his dozers and spending his days on the family farm.

Anthony is survived by his sisters, Catherine Schlatt, Barbara Noelke, and Ruth (Jerome) Spaunhorst; his brother, John; and twelve nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie and Dorothy; brothers, Leo and Bernard; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann and Brenda; brothers-in-law, Leo Schlatt and Gene Noelke; and nephew Daniel Meyer.

He shared many wonderful years with his late companion, Verna Hale, and remained close to her daughter, Melanie, and her children and grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 17th at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church in New Haven, with Father Tim Henderson officiating.  There will be a short visitation from 9 am to 10am at Assumption Church before the funeral service.
