Annette (Anne) Burke, 71 of Hermann passed on July 31, 2023 at her home.
Anne was born on October 6th, 1951 in Evanston, Wyoming to the late Paul and Leah (Becker) Landolt.
Anne was a welder by trade. Working for Callaway Nuclear Plant and then later retiring from Pauwel Corporation after nearly 30 years. The tough job of being a welder played into her wild child, hippie ways that stayed with her until the end. It also prepared her to raise her two boys which were her the apple of her eye, her pride in life.
After retirement, you could always find her with a good book in her hand and music playing in the background. Pink Floyd, Janis Joplin, and the Like could always be heard on repeat. She had read 1,000’s of books in her lifetime and re-read many of the classics. Steven King was a favorite of hers and she would finish his classic novels in a days’ time.
Anne is survived by her two sons, William Burke and wife Rebecca of Hermann, MO and Joseph Burke and wife Tara of Lawson, MO, along with 3 granddaughters, Cadence, Jamie and Leah; sisters, Karen Steiner, Clarissa Hock, Connie Landolt, Ginnie Eckelkamp; brothers, Paul Landolt Jr, Curt Landolt, Charles Landolt, and Perry Landolt, along with numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
Anne is proceeded in death by her parents, Paul and Leah, a sister Diane Dothage, nephew Kyle Dothage and great-niece, Kylee Dothage.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
