Amanda Seitter Obituary

Amanda Kristine Seitter, 41, of New Haven, passed away on March 25, 2022.

Mandy, daughter of John “Steve” Angell and Linda nee Hoemann, was born on April 8, 1980, in Washington, MO. She received her education from New Haven High School, completed her agricultural technology degree from the University of Central Missouri and then later completed her veterinarian technician degree in North Kansas City.  While in college Mandy made numerous lifelong friends.

Mandy met the love of her life at an 8th grade school dance. Mandy and Chad were united in marriage at St. Peter’s Church in New Haven on July 6, 2002.

Mandy loved her parents and sister and had a wonderful childhood riding horses, playing sports, taking trips, and making memories with her family in so many ways.

Mandy had too many talents to list and being part of the team at the New Haven School District brought her tremendous joy.  As much as Mandy loved pens, Reese’s, soda, and organization her true purpose and greatest talent was being a wife, daughter, sister, and most of all mother - and she was a great one.  Mandy would do anything for her children - sometimes that meant staying up all night to make sure they had a decorated dining room for their birthday when they woke up.  Other times that meant leading an organization such as Girl Scouts or Sunday school so her children could participate in such activities.  Mandy enjoyed taking vacations with her family and a couple favorites included Disney World, Sanibel Island, and Estes Park.  Mandy spent hours and hours organizing those trips to be sure everyone had something they would enjoy.  Mandy was such a caring person and would help anyone who needed it.  Mandy tried to show her children what it meant to be a good person and to do things not expecting anything but joy in return.

As a spouse Mandy was simply a gem. She was always compassionate and stubborn when necessary. Having been with Chad for 24 years many times they knew what the other would say or do without even having to discuss it.  Mandy would do all the hard things and Chad would do the things she didn’t want to do.  It worked well for them.  There was never an option to give up and when things got tough, they pushed ahead.  When Chad got sick, she stuck by his side.  When Chad asked if his dad could come live with them Mandy was on board and loved her father- in- law like her own.   Mandy is a true Angell and will be so deeply missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Leisha Angell Ryno; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Minerva Hoemann and paternal grandfathers, John Angell, and Roland Fritzmeyer.

Among her survivors are her husband, Chad Seitter of New Haven; four children, Abigail Seitter, Lucas Seitter, Brinley Seitter, and Maizie Seitter; parents, Steve and Linda Angell of New Haven; grandparents, Verlee Ellis and husband Sonny of Owensville and Kathy Angell of Gerald; many other relatives and friends.
