Alan (Buddy) Wayne Penn, 75, of New Florence, MO, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at his home.
Buddy was born in New Florence, Missouri on January 29, 1948, the son of the late Charles & Marie (Johnson) Penn.
He was united in marriage to Carol (Leu) Penn on June 7, 1968, in Jonesburg, Missouri.
Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad Buddy was an avid collector of knives and enjoyed gardening, quail hunting, mushroom hunting and fishing with his family. There was never a time when he did not have a great story to tell. If he was not telling a story, he was helping people and was always humble about all his good deeds. One of his biggest joys was spending time with his family whether it was his two sons or his grandchildren, he could be seen with a huge smile on his face.
Alan is survived by two sons, Craig Penn & wife Kelly, of Columbia, Missouri; and Cory Penn & wife Diana, of Chesterfield, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Jake, Brady, Addison and Aydan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters, Frances Millam, Verneal Johnson and Shirley Jacobi and two brothers, Stanley & Glen Penn.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence, Missouri.
