Adala Edna (Uetterling) Uthe

Adala Edna Uthe, 91, of rural Morrison, MO, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Heisinger St. Joseph's Bluffs, Jefferson City, Missouri. 

Adala was born in Fredericksburg, Missouri on June 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Louis August Uetterling & Edna Adala (Pollmann) Uetterling Epple.  She attended Wittenbach School through the 8th grade and then attended Hermann High School.

She was united in marriage on August 8, 1949, with Elmer F. Uthe, who preceded her in death on March 5, 1991.

Adala was a member of Zion-St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Pershing, Missouri and the Women's Fellowship.  She worked at Linn and Chamois Pants Factory.  She also worked for Florsheim Shoe Company in Hermann for 16 years and then for Frene Valley Health Center for a little over 7 years until her retirement in 1996. 

Adala enjoyed working in the garden, canning and working on the farm.  She liked dogs and cats, and blue grass and country music.

She is survived by a niece, Darlene Schneider & husband Jerry, by cousins and many great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Eales Epple, by her twin brother, Louis "Bud" Uetterling, a brother, George Uetterling and a sister Hilda Scheible.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 20th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Fredericksburg Church, Morrison, MO, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Barb Zastrow officiating.
