Wanda Louise (Laughlin) Towery

Wanda Louise Towery, 82, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Creve Coeur, Missouri. 

Louise was born in Wanette, Oklahoma on July 23, 1936, a daughter of the late James & Florence (Hampton) Laughlin.

She was the widow of Harmon J. Towery.   They were united in marriage on November 23, 1961, in Las Vegas, Nevada.   Harmon preceded her in death on January 16, 2004.

Louise was a member of Hermann Christian Church.  She worked as a bookkeeper for GTE for many years. She also volunteered a lot of her time for the Hermann Food Pantry, the Hermann Community Center, and at Hermann Hospital.

Louise is survived by two sons, Steven Towery, of Redding, California; and Michael Towery & wife Joy, of Hermann; a daughter, Dawna Rowe & husband William, of Hermann, by 10 grandchildren, and by many great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Billie & Donald Ray Laughlin.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 2nd from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Hermann Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to Hermann Food Pantry.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
