Viola Clara Copeland, 92, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital West, Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
Viola was born in Morrison, Missouri on February 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Eddie J. & Alice (Roewe) Helming.
She was the widow of Eleck George Copeland. They were united in marriage on December 1, 1963, in Stony Hill, Missouri. Eleck preceded her in death on August 22, 2013.
Viola is survived by a daughter, Judy Pilger & husband John, of Hermann; a sister, Irene Blackwell & husband Bill, of Harlingen, Texas; a sister-in-law, Earsey Penn, of Hermann; two grandsons, Daniel Pilger, of Holiday, Florida; and David Pilger, of Hermann; by a granddaughter, Jessica Moellinger & husband Jason, of Belle, Missouri; and by five great grandchildren, Serenity Pilger, Kahrston, Vincent, & Jasmine Moellinger, and Nikolai Hereford.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a brother Virgil Helming, and a sister Leona Ocheskey.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Good Hope Cemetery, Morrison, Missouri.
