Velma Canaday Obituary

Velma Lois Canaday, 86, of Hermann, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at her son's home.

Velma was born in Paragould, Arkansas on March 20, 1933, a daughter of the late Connie & Alcie (Brewer) Williams.

She was the widow of Edwin Canaday. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1985.

Velma worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone for 20 years. In her free time she enjoyed working in the yard and shopping for antiques.

Velma is survived by a son, Steve Canaday & wife Laurie, of Hermann, by five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and by two sons, Mark & Scott Canaday.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.
