Stephen E. Lackman

Stephen E. Lackman, 90, of Rhineland, MO, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge.

Stephen was born in Meta, Missouri on March 2, 1929, a son of the late Edward & Louise (Gerard) Lackman.

He was the husband of Marlene O. (Carnes) Lackman. They were united in marriage on July 23, 1955 at Assumption Church in Morrison, MO.

Stephen worked at the Gourmet Factory in Chamois, MO, Thompson Farm in Rhineland, MO and then Loutre Market as the store manager for many years. Stephen took great pride in the Americus Community, where he enjoyed the outdoors with gardening, lawn care and his various pets.

Stephen is survived by his wife Marlene, of Hermann, Mo;  son, Stephen  Lackman, of Hermann, MO; daughter, Connie Gallacher & husband Bruce, of Louisville, TN; son, Samuel Lackman & wife Paula, of Hermann, MO; son, James Lackman, of Cumberland, RI;  son, Darren Lackman & wife Tracy, of Rhineland, MO; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister, Josephine Meyer & husband Frances, of Washington, MO, sister, Theresa Carrol & husband Jim, of Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William Lackman, and Tony Lackman, sisters, Hedwig Lackman, Rose Schnauss, Julie Lackman, Mary Louise Stewart and Katie Meyer.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Deer Creek Cemetery of Chamois, MO.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.  His family would like to thank Frene Valley of Hermann Stonebridge for their care and compassion.
