Shirley M. Allgeyer, 87, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at New Haven Care Center.

Shirley was born in New Haven, Missouri, on April 22, 1930, a daughter of the late William W. & Alma R. (Propst) Grubb.

She was the widow of Edwin E. Allgeyer.   They were united in marriage on June 27, 1964 in New Haven, Missouri.  Edwin preceded her in death on September 13, 2000.

Shirley was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, where she was the church organist for many years.  She also played the organ for Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, of Hermann.   She was also a member of the Rhineland Fire Department Auxiliary and of Hermann Eagles Auxiliary.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Shari Bauer, of Columbia, Missouri, by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, by a son-in-law Sam Bauer, by two sisters Jeannine Gerschefske and Ruth Tritch and a brother William Grubb.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Jacob Ehrhard officiating.  Burial will be held at St. Marcus Cemetery, Rhineland, Missouri.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid or New Haven Care Center Activities Fund.  C/O Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home.
